Personal Finance Club
Personal finance is the day-to-day details that set the foundation for building wealth and eventually get you the long term results you are looking for. Personal financial planning can be made out to be complicated by those who get paid to do it, but although some financial planning aspects are best handled by experts, there is no area of personal finance you can’t take on yourself. Whether you decide to hire someone or not, you will still have to remain in charge, and this will require knowledge of personal finance and the desire to seek that knowledge. As future members of the workforce, we at PFC are getting a head-start in understanding its workings. As a member of this organization, you will have the opportunity to hear financial professionals describe their knowledge and experiences relating to personal finance and be able to learn and use the latest financial resources to achieve your own goals.

Christine is currently studying finance, MIS, and strategy and innovation, graduating in 2018. Heavily involved on campus, she is also the cofounder and EVP of Phi Chi Theta and project manager of Biztech Club. Along with this, she is also the chief strategy & operations officer of WhatsIn, a fashion retail technology startup along with friends at NYU. In her free time, she enjoys experimenting with photography, trying new food, and exploring cities and nature.

Jonathan is a Business and Finance alumnus of Boston University and the founder of the BU Personal Finance Club. During his tenure at BU he was heavily involved in other finance-related clubs as well. He is experienced in investing in stocks & derivatives and has an interest in algorithmic trading. In his free time he enjoys programming, reading, and water sports.​

Sidharth is a Sophomore in the Questrom school of Business studying Finance & Strategy and Innovation. As an International student, coming to college in the United States has impacted him greatly and taught him the importance of being innovative, creative and self reliant. While management consulting is something he aspires to do for a living, he is also very interested in learning about financial modeling and the shifting markets to better understand their impact on our daily lives. He enjoys travelling, taking part in ModelUN conferences and cooking in his spare time.
Stanislava is a junior graduating in Spring 2018, pursuing a dual degree in International Relations and Business Administration with a concentration in accounting. In Personal Finance Club, she combines her academic experience at Boston University with several extracurricular activities on campus: last year she helped to reorganize the Russian-Speaking Society, and currently she serves as an advisor; writes for the Pre-Law Review. In her free time she enjoys reading, cooking and watching movies. Also, she is very passionate about photography and art.

Lilian is a student in the Questrom School of Business pursuing concentrations in Marketing and Real Estate. She enjoys thinking deeply about her future, especially in terms of the whereabouts and contents of her next meal. As an avid foodie, she enjoys taking photos of all the foods she manages to consume. When she’s not looking for her next meal, she’s likely to be found laughing with her friends or taking a restful nap.
Brian is currently a junior in Questrom pursuing a triple concentration in Finance, Accounting, and Real Estate. He is a part of Finance & Investment Club and BU Capital Management. Aside from academics, he enjoys trying new cuisine and getting to know new people, since he never knows what to expect! Surprisingly enough, due to drastic differences from my home and on-campus diets, he gained 22 pounds this summer and lost 8 pounds within the first week of moving back to BU.

Chris is a Junior in Questrom concentrating in Finance and MIS. Outside of Personal Finance Club, he is a part of the business fraternity Phi Chi Theta, the Finance and Investment Club, and the All-campus orchestra. In his free time Chris enjoys playing the violin and studying music theory. He is also a big baseball fan who follows the Red Sox closely and enjoys analyzing baseball statistics. In addition to this, he follows the stock market as he manages his own portfolio.
Kevin is a Sophomore in Questrom pursuing a concentration in Finance. He is a hard worker with little time for fun, but in his free time he has taken up learning juggling. In addition, as a fun fact, Kevin has taken a mini tour into North Korea.

Oliver is the senior advisor and one of the co-founders of the Personal Finance Club. Oliver is a current senior graduating in the spring of 2017, studying business with concentrations in finance and management information systems. He co-founded the Phi Chi Theta business fraternity on campus and now works as the data analyst on the marketing team. Along with his coursework and student organizations, he is a sales analyst intern for Rapid7. Outside of classes and work, he enjoys working out and trying new restaurants!

Daniel is a Senior at Boston University studying Economics, Finance, and Accounting. He is looking forward to working with the Liberty Mutual Analyst Development Program next year.
